The British Occupational Hygiene Society hosted the fourth international conference on Occupational and Environmental Exposure of Skin to Chemicals in Edinburgh, Scotland. The meeting is unique in bringing together experts in dermal exposure assessment, dermatology, and skin toxicology with policy-makers and health, safety and environment professionals interested in increasing their knowledge of dermal exposure issues.

The conference focussed on the science of skin exposure to chemicals, measurement and modeling of exposure and skin permeation, knowledge gaps and future challenges, and policy initiatives to control exposures and risks.
